Remote is a digital product studio based in Shropshire, UK.

We’re hiring for a marketing role and are looking for someone who has a passion for personal and professional development and understands and enjoys social media and marketing and shares our value of ethical marketing.

The role

We’re creating a lot of high-value video content, have a brilliant design team and are looking for the right person who would love to spend their day consuming content, turning it into clips, podcasts, sound bites, blogs and social posts and then leveraging technology to queue it up for release, dig into the analytics and tweak, test and go again.

If you love the idea of coming up with inventive ways to experiment with posting on a variety of social media platforms and websites to help position Remote, our digital products, our two Directors and our clients in the best way possible, tag yourself or tag someone who you think might be perfect and send us a DM.

This role will involve:

1. Creating and implementing social media and marketing strategies.
2. Editing digital content for posting on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok and various podcasts and websites.
3. Being part of a team creating new assets.
4. Monitoring and managing a variety of social channels and websites.
5. Making sure everyone has an exceptional experience of our brands, customers and Directors online.
6. Being the first point of contact on socials
7. Managing social communication, arranging podcast guests and appointments and speaking engagements.
8. Growing the online following across our entire suite of brands and those of our customers.

We're an established digital product studio working on an eclectic mix of custom web applications and apps for clients worldwide. From start-ups to international brands like Sony, Volvo, Tesco and Volkswagen Group.

In addition to our client work, we also have several in-house digital projects and are building our own SaaS platform.

Our projects

Our projects typically fall into three areas:

Digital products – web applications and mobile apps - This will be your core area.

Design-led websites – visually beautiful websites

Product development/research – concept development, emerging design trends and user testing

When you're in the office, you’ll be working in a sociable, open-plan environment in Shrewsbury, with a supportive development team in a great culture.

Most of the team at Remote work three days in the office and two days from home; the others work 5 days in the office.

Environment

The studio is based in the town centre of Shrewsbury, one of the finest market towns in England.

We provide an open, friendly and collaborative working environment, where teammates solve challenges together, share knowledge, and present to each other on emerging trends in technology and self-development.

Culture

Dress: We dress how we like in the studio - it’s important that we all feel comfortable while we work - and brush up for meetings and if we have a client visiting.

Flexibility: Outside of lockdowns, we work together as a team in the studio most days. We’ve learnt to be flexible over lockdown, so don’t mind if you want to work from home occasionally. For this role, we can be flexible around working times, too.

Location: We’re a 5-minute walk from the centre of Shrewsbury, just across the river, by the Theatre and right next to Frankwell car park, which means you’ll always find it easy to get to work. A couple of our team members cycle.
